Ensure adequate ventilation inside the tent, especially in closed tents. Insufficient air circulation can lead to a dangerous buildup of carbon monoxide, particularly with gas stoves or heaters. Open vents regularly to prevent condensation. Secure all guy lines and pegs firmly to stabilize the tent against wind. Check them regularly, especially after strong winds or rain. Mark the guy lines so no one trips over them. Reflective strips or pegs are available for visibility in the dark. A tent is not a toy. Never leave children or pets unattended in or around the tent.
