The hollow aluminum sleeve surrounding the tinder gives you complete control over the flame. To extinguish the flame, simply pull the wick fully into the sleeve, thus depriving the flame of oxygen. The tinder can be ignited with a firesteel and all conventional methods, making it the ideal companion for any hiking or camping trip.

The paraffin wax surrounding the hemp fibers not only serves as a long-lasting fuel but also protects them from moisture. This wax makes the tinder cord extremely durable, water-resistant, and windproof – the same applies to the firesteel.
